Small Plane Crashes After Hitting Power Lines in US Emergency Landing Attempt

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MARYLAND - NOVEMBER 28: A damaged plane lays on the ground after it had crashed into a Pepco transformer line yesterday cutting power to over 100,000 homes in the surrounding area in Montgomery Village, Maryland on November 28, 2022. Maryland State Police identified the pilot as Patrick Merkle, 65, of Washington and his passenger as Jan Williams, 66, of Louisiana who were both rescued early in the morning.

Washington (HRNW)- A small plane in the United States suffered a horrific accident when it hit power lines while attempting a crash landing.

The accident caused a fire in the power lines, while the plane fell into a nearby parking area and was completely destroyed. Fortunately, the pilot of the plane was safe, but he was immediately transferred to the hospital for medical attention. Authorities have launched an investigation to find out the causes of the accident.
