Washington (HRNW)- The American president has said that the ongoing tension and war situation against Iran will end very soon and the United States will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons.
Addressing lawmakers at the White House, US President Donald Trump said that Iran wants to make a deal now because it is tired of the current situation.
President Trump said that the US will end this war very soon, adding that Iran is considering nuclear weapons development but Washington will not allow it.
He claimed that the United States has handled the situation effectively and expressed hope that the issue could be resolved through diplomacy.
Trump added that Washington is working to stop Iran’s nuclear program and prevent further escalation of tensions in the region.
The statement came at a time when the Republican majority in the United States voted in favor of advancing a resolution aimed at making any US military action against Iran conditional on explicit congressional approval.
According to US media, under this resolution, the president would require formal authorization from Congress to continue war-related actions against Iran.
Meanwhile, tensions between Iran and the United States continue to create uncertainty in the Middle East, with the international community expressing concern over possible escalation.
