Maulana Fazlur Rehman Criticizes Government Over Inflation, Law and Order, and Constitutional Issues in National Assembly

Islamabad (HRNW)- Maulana Fazlur Rehman delivered a scathing speech in the National Assembly session, criticizing the government’s policies, unrest in the country, inflation and constitutional issues.
He said that two provinces have become hotbeds of unrest and raised the question whether we will continue to celebrate only the “struggle for justice” and leave the people to die? He said that the law and order situation in the country is extremely worrying and the people are forced to migrate.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that many members and workers of his party have been martyred, while there has been a large loss of life in Bajaur. He alleged that despite continuous operations, the situation is getting worse instead of improving.
In his speech, he questioned inflation and said why is the highest price of oil in Pakistan despite the tension in the Strait of Hormuz, while such a situation is not in other countries. He also criticized the government’s policies and economic decisions.
He expressed reservations about the constitutional amendments, the role of parliament and the democratic process, saying that parliament is being weakened and important decisions are being taken elsewhere instead of the House.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that there is a need to review the policies related to educational, religious and constitutional institutions in the country, while also raising questions about the government’s actions regarding madrassas.
Political heat was also seen in the House during the speech, however, the opposition continued to increase pressure on the government.
