Islamabad (HRNW)- President Asif Ali Zardari, during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has stressed on taking immediate and effective steps to reduce inflation and provide relief to the common man.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and federal ministers were also present in this meeting held at the Presidential Palace. During the meeting, the overall economic situation of the country, inflationary pressures and the changing political and security situation in the region were discussed in detail.
According to sources, it was agreed in the meeting that a coordinated strategy should be adopted to deal with the current economic challenges and steps should be taken to provide maximum relief to the people.
The meeting also considered the changing situation in the region and its possible effects, while various suggestions were discussed to stabilize the country’s economy.
