Islamabad (HRNW)- The Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that bookings for more than 17,000 private Hajj pilgrims have been completed through the Pak Hajj App, while billions of rupees have been transferred to authorized Hajj companies through the official digital system.
According to a ministry spokesperson, approximately PKR 14 billion has been transferred to the accounts of authorized companies through the National IT Board’s digital Hajj portal. An additional PKR 6 billion has been collected online through 1Link and bank cards.
The spokesperson said 54,000 Hajj slots remain available under the private Hajj scheme. Pilgrims have been advised to select their preferred packages through the Pak Hajj App from their homes and to complete both the selection of an authorized Hajj organizing company and payment through the official platform.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has strictly prohibited pilgrims from making direct payments to individuals or companies outside the designated digital system. Officials warned that the ministry would not be responsible for any fraud or financial loss resulting from payments made through unauthorized channels.
The spokesperson also announced that the deadline for booking under the private Hajj scheme through the official Hajj portal is November 20.
Pilgrims have been urged to use only authorized digital channels and carefully verify their bookings and payments to avoid potential fraud.
