Rawalpindi (HRNW)- In view of the law and order situation, the district administration has imposed Section 144 in the city and banned all kinds of gatherings around Adiala Jail and sensitive installations.
According to the notification issued, the district administration Rawalpindi has decided that holding of meetings, processions, sit-ins and rallies near Adiala Jail, Red Zone and other sensitive places will be completely prohibited.
The notification states that Section 144 will be applicable from May 5 to May 19, 2026, and strict action will be taken against those violating the law during this period.
According to the administration, this step has been taken to prevent any possible unpleasant situation and maintain law and order. Instructions have been issued to the police and security agencies to ensure strict implementation of the ban.
