Islamabad Court Orders Arrest and Production of KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi

Islamabad (HRNW)- A district court in Islamabad has ordered the arrest and production of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in connection with a case alleging that he made misleading accusations against state institutions and damaged their reputation.

The case was heard in the District and Sessions Courts by Senior Civil Judge Abbas Shah. During the proceedings, the court upheld the non-bailable arrest warrants issued against Sohail Afridi due to his absence and directed the authorities to arrest him and produce him before the court.

After issuing the orders, the court adjourned further proceedings in the case until July.

According to the case record, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered a case against Sohail Afridi under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
