Tehran (HRNW)- Iran has indicated plans to further strengthen its offensive military capabilities as part of a new military strategy.
According to Brigadier General Reza Naqdi, a senior adviser to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Guards have been instructed under the new military doctrine to develop capabilities that would allow them to take military action against enemy territory if necessary.
Speaking to Iranian media, Naqdi said the IRGC had been ordered to raise its military capabilities to a level that would ensure any future conflict would not necessarily remain confined to Iranian territory, but could potentially extend to the territory of an adversary.
The remarks indicate a shift toward expanding Iran’s military reach and offensive capabilities amid heightened regional tensions.
