Rawalpindi (HRNW)- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has called on PTI workers, assembly members and party leaders to prepare for nationwide demonstrations at 10pm, saying every major square and intersection across Pakistan should be turned into a “D-Chowk.”
According to HRNW News, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi reached Adiala Road in Rawalpindi to seek a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan, where Rawalpindi Police had removed barriers from the road.
Speaking to the media, Afridi said that all MPAs, parliamentarians and party officials had been instructed to prepare for the planned demonstrations. He called on workers to come out at squares and intersections carrying Pakistan and PTI flags.
The chief minister said he would wait for a meeting with Imran Khan as long as possible. He also criticized the treatment of the PTI founder and the party since 2022, saying that political confrontation, stubbornness and what he described as an “ego-driven” approach had damaged the country’s system.
Afridi urged PTI workers to remain focused on the party’s planned September 27 mobilization, claiming that millions of people would be brought to Islamabad. He said the government should arrange a meeting with the PTI leadership to help resolve the ongoing political situation.
He further criticized other political parties for what he described as a lack of sincerity toward the country and said that government officials themselves were acknowledging problems within the system.
