Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has accused the United States of repeatedly making incorrect decisions based on poor intelligence and misinformation, saying that American assessments of the ongoing conflict with Iran have failed.
Araqchi said in a post on X that the United States has made wrong assessments and decisions for a long time because of what he described as inadequate intelligence. He argued that US assessments had again failed during the current conflict with Iran.
The Iranian foreign minister warned that Washington could now be making an even greater mistake regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
Araqchi said that false intelligence can be more dangerous than false news and urged caution when making decisions based on potentially inaccurate information.
He indirectly warned that any miscalculation or decision based on incorrect intelligence regarding the Strait of Hormuz could further complicate the already tense regional situation.
Araqchi concluded his message by expressing his religious faith and stating that he trusted in Allah.
The Strait of Hormuz, located between the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, is one of the world’s most important energy routes. Any disruption to shipping through the waterway could have significant consequences for global energy markets, making statements by Iran and the United States regarding the strait particularly significant amid continuing regional tensions.
