Karachi (HRNW)- There is a lot of concern over the dilapidated condition of the dais at the Gulshan campus of the Federal Urdu University, where a program on the topic of fake news was recently held. Journalists and people with journalistic expertise shared their analysis, comments and experiences with the students at the dais, but the condition of the stage and environment of the program left the participants and observers disappointed. According to critics, the overall condition of the dais was not only substandard but also seemed to be against the dignity of the educational institution.
Educational experts and social circles say that such an environment has a direct impact on the psychology and thinking of students, and if psychologists are consulted in this regard, the results may be even more worrying. The current situation gives the impression that students are unable to receive positive and dignified training in this environment. According to critics, looking at the condition of the dais, it is felt that neither the university administration nor the teachers and students seem serious about the quality of education and discipline, but education has become a mere pastime, where the only goal seems to be to get a degree and get a job in a media institution.
Social circles also pointed out that cleanliness is half of faith, which is a basic principle of Islamic teachings, but in practice these teachings are not implemented. According to them, dignified nations also maintain dignity in their educational institutions, behavior, learning and teaching methods. Although this matter seems trivial, observers say that when the pictures taken on this dais are published in newspapers and media, it will create an unusual and negative impression, which may prove detrimental to the reputation of the educational institution.
