Motorway Police Ban Animal-Loaded Vehicles from Entering Motorways on Eid-ul-Azha

Islamabad (HRNW)- The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has banned the entry of vehicles loaded with sacrificial animals on motorways in view of Eid-ul-Azha.

According to officials, overloaded, unfit, and unsafely loaded vehicles often become the cause of traffic accidents and severe congestion on motorways. Such vehicles will now be diverted to alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.

Officials stated that in the past, several vehicles carrying animals were involved in dangerous accidents that caused heavy financial and human losses.

In this regard, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have been requested to establish check posts near motorway entry points and cattle markets to enforce the ban effectively.

National Highways and Motorway Police spokesperson Saqib Waheed said that the decision has been taken to ensure the safety and convenience of travelers using the motorway network during Eid-ul-Azha.
