Iranian President Pezeshkian Says Khamenei’s Death Marks ‘Beginning of a New Chapter’ Ahead of State Funeral

Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said in a special message to the nation ahead of the official funeral of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei that the martyrdom of the country’s leader is “not the end of a journey, but the beginning of a new chapter.”

According to Iranian broadcaster Press TV, President Pezeshkian said that Ali Khamenei’s martyrdom would further strengthen the determination, unity, and spirit of resistance of the Iranian nation.

“The martyrdom of our leader is not the end of this path but the beginning of a new chapter,” the President said.

President Pezeshkian stated that Iran would move forward with greater strength than ever to safeguard its national sovereignty, fundamental principles, and national interests, adding that the country’s leadership would continue its mission with the trust of the people and national unity.

He appealed to the Iranian people to demonstrate unity, patience, and solidarity during this critical period and to contribute to the country’s stability and security.

The President also reaffirmed that Iran would remain committed to its national goals and policies and would not allow the sacrifices of those it describes as martyrs to be forgotten.

The statement comes as Tehran prepares for the official funeral of Ali Khamenei, where senior government, political, and religious leaders from various countries are expected to attend.

According to analysts, President Pezeshkian’s message is intended to reassure the Iranian public, promote political stability, and reinforce national unity amid the current regional situation.
