Karachi (HRNW) — A high-level investigation team of the Sindh Police continues its probe into the case involving businessman Mir Raza.
According to the Sindh Police spokesperson, the investigation team is closely examining various aspects and possible angles of the case in light of medical reports, digital and other available evidence, proceedings of the previous investigation team, and information obtained from family members, friends and other relevant sources.
The investigation team has so far received two post-mortem reports, one final report and three chemical analysis reports. The latest chemical analysis report was received on August 17, and all reports are being subjected to a detailed, comparative and critical review.
The spokesperson said that, keeping in view the progress of the investigation and the requirements of public interest, information from the reports is being shared with the public to an appropriate extent.
During the review of the reports, certain points have emerged that require further clarification or reconciliation. Necessary information is being obtained from relevant authorities and institutions for further clarification and verification of these points.
According to the Sindh Police, the Punjab Forensic Science Agency has been contacted for analysis of mobile phone and smartwatch data, while the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) is being approached regarding matters related to digital currency. Authorities of Apple have also been contacted regarding unlocking the mobile phone.
The spokesperson said clarification of the unclear points identified in the chemical analysis report, along with obtaining the required information from relevant institutions and authorities, is expected to help investigators better understand the different aspects of the case and establish links between the available evidence.
The investigation team is advancing the probe on a daily basis on the basis of available technical, digital, forensic and other reliable evidence.
