New Delhi (HRNW)- The Indian government’s handling of Operation Sindoor has come under criticism from opposition parties, retired military officers, and some commentators, with questions being raised about transparency and the disclosure of military-related information.
According to reports, opposition leaders reacted strongly to statements made by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh regarding Operation Sindoor. Critics argued that information related to military losses was not made public in a timely manner.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate alleged that the government failed to maintain transparency regarding the deaths of military personnel and withheld important information from the public.
Retired Indian Air Force Wing Commander Anuma Acharya also criticized the government, alleging that political interests had been prioritized and emphasizing that matters concerning military personnel should remain above politics.
Former Indian Army officer Colonel Rohit Chaudhary called on the government to avoid seeking political advantage in the name of the armed forces.
Journalist Sujit Nair also questioned the government’s approach, stating that complete transparency regarding the sacrifices of military personnel is essential.
Opposition parties have demanded clarification and accountability from the government over the matter. According to the report, the Indian government has not yet issued a formal response to these allegations.
