Iran Says Negotiations Will Not Mean Surrender, Reaffirms Strong Stance on National Interests

Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that negotiations do not mean surrender, emphasizing that Iran will continue diplomatic talks while maintaining a strong position to protect its national interests and the rights of its people.

The Iranian president made these remarks during a meeting focused on the restoration of war damages. He said Iran’s primary objective is to secure the rights of its citizens and defend national interests with strength and dignity.

President Pezeshkian further stated that Iran will continue to uphold its principled stance, stressing that national sovereignty and people’s rights will remain the top priority in any negotiation process. He added that ongoing talks should not be interpreted as weakness or retreat.

He also highlighted post-war reconstruction efforts, saying the government is utilizing all available resources to rebuild affected areas and provide relief to those impacted.

The statement comes amid global speculation regarding a possible ceasefire and renewed negotiations between Iran and the United States. Tehran has consistently maintained that any agreement must include protection of Iranian interests, lifting of sanctions, and regional stability.

Political observers say the remarks are aimed at maintaining domestic confidence while sending a clear message to the international community regarding Iran’s negotiating position.
