Washington (HRNW)- The United States Department of Justice has released new documents related to the ongoing investigation into controversial financier Jeffrey Epstein, which also mention allegations involving Donald Trump.
According to media reports, these documents were not included in the initially released Epstein files and were later discovered to have been mistakenly labeled as “duplicates”, which is why they were not previously made public.
The Justice Department has now released the missing files online, which include summaries and notes from three interviews conducted by the FBI with a woman connected to the investigation.
In the interviews, the woman alleged that Jeffrey Epstein sexually assaulted her when she was 13 years old, claiming the incident occurred around 1984 on Hilton Head Island.
She further alleged that she was assaulted by several individuals in addition to Epstein and claimed that Donald Trump was among them. However, the US president has consistently and strongly denied all such allegations.
The release of these documents has once again drawn public attention to the Epstein investigation and renewed debate in the United States regarding the case and its wider implications.
