New York (HRNW)- A US federal judge has released an alleged suicide note linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, reigniting public debate and conspiracy theories surrounding his death.
According to international media reports, US Judge Kenneth Karas issued the document, which is being described as Epstein’s alleged handwritten note. The note reportedly states: “It is special that a person can choose the time to say goodbye.”
Reports say the note was found by Epstein’s former prison cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione, a former police officer who is currently serving multiple life sentences in a separate murder case.
Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a New York prison in August 2019. Authorities officially ruled his death a suicide, but the case has remained controversial, with ongoing speculation and conspiracy theories continuing to circulate since the incident.
The judge released the document following a request from a US newspaper, stating that as part of a criminal case record, the public has the right to access such material.
Nicholas Tartaglione is currently serving four life sentences in connection with drug-related murder convictions.
