Washington (HRNW)- The largest US aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald Ford, has departed the Greek island of Crete for Israel. The aircraft carrier is en route to the Israeli port of Haifa and will arrive at the Israeli port today.

US officials say that the US has also sent 12 of its F-22 fighter jets to Israel, the first time the US has deployed its fighter jets in Israel.

According to reports, the Trump administration and the Pentagon have not officially confirmed the deployment of US fighter jets to Israel. President Trump gave Iran 10 to 15 days to reach an agreement on February 19.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has said that talks with the US went well and the two countries are close to a possible agreement.
