Lahore (HRNW)- As Basant approached, there was an extraordinary increase in the demand for kites with a special image in Lahore, however, in view of the potential risks to public health posed by flying this kite in the air, it has been banned.
According to sources, the concerned authorities say that seeing the kite with the said image may cause fears, mental stress, heart attack and sudden increase in blood pressure in some people, due to which this decision has been taken.
The administration has clarified that in order to protect the lives and property of the people and maintain public peace, an order has been issued banning the manufacture, purchase, sale and use of kites with this special image. In case of violation, action will be taken according to the law.
Citizens have been appealed to cooperate with the administration and use only permitted kites during Basant so that any untoward incident can be avoided.
