Hala (HRNW)- Two people were seriously injured after a vehicle belonging to the volunteer convoy of Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro overturned on the National Highway near Sekhat, police said.
According to police, the convoy was traveling from Bhit Shah to Karachi when the accident occurred. The volunteers’ vehicle reportedly overturned due to overspeeding or other yet-to-be-determined reasons.
Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro remained unharmed in the incident. However, his security guard, Ali Akbar, sustained serious injuries.
Rescue teams and police personnel reached the scene immediately after the accident and shifted the injured to nearby medical facilities. After receiving first aid, the critically injured guard was transferred to Civil Hospital Hyderabad for further treatment, while another injured person was also provided medical care.
Speaking after the incident, Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro confirmed that he was safe and clarified that the accident involved the volunteers’ vehicle, not the one in which he was traveling.
