London (HRNW) -A special ceremony was held in London to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos under the auspices of the Pakistan High Commission in London.
At the ceremony, Military and Air Attaché Colonel Mohsin Waqar said that Marka-e-Haq was a historic moment when the Pakistani nation showed solidarity with its forces across the world, setting an example of national unity, determination and steadfastness. According to him, the Pakistani people reiterated their resolve to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
Pakistan’s Acting High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Haseeb Bin Aziz, said that this ceremony pays tribute to the brave armed forces of Pakistan, who played a significant role in the defense of the homeland with unparalleled courage, professionalism and determination. He said that the response of the Pakistani forces during Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos was swift, decisive and effective, which was also appreciated at the global level.
Naval and Defense Attaché Commodore Jawad Khawaja and Colonel Mohsin Waqar in their speeches said that Pakistan’s armed forces thwarted the enemy’s nefarious designs and successfully defended the country’s sovereignty.
Minister (Press) Ali Nawaz Malik, while briefing the participants, said that the High Commission had taken important steps to provide accurate information to the British media and effectively respond to Indian propaganda.
Representatives of the Pakistani community living in the UK also paid tribute to the Pakistani armed forces, political leadership and the entire nation at the event. The participants expressed their determination that the struggle for truth will continue to be a beacon of national unity and a strong Pakistan in the future.
British members of parliament, Pakistani-origin councillors, business community, High Commission officers, media representatives and a large number of Pakistani diaspora attended the event.
