Washington (HRNW)- The United States has announced a trilateral framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon, signaling a significant step forward for peace in the Middle East.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the framework agreement after the fifth round of talks between Israel and Lebanon in Washington, which was signed by the United States, Israel and Lebanon.
Marco Rubio said that this agreement between the sovereign government of Lebanon and the government of Israel, brokered and supported by the United States, is an important step towards establishing lasting peace and security, but more work remains to be done.
Meanwhile, the Israeli ambassador to the United States said that the trilateral framework agreement will be implemented in phases and its progress will be taken forward according to the agreed procedure.
