KARACHI (HRNW): Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, accompanied by a party delegation, visited the residence of Karachi-based businessman Ali Jameel, who was killed in a terrorist attack near Quetta, to offer condolences to the bereaved family and gather details of the incident.
The delegation included PTI Karachi President Raja Azhar, General Secretary Arsalan Khalid, Senior Vice President Faheem Khan, Waleed Hashmi and other party leaders.
Speaking to the media during the visit, Haleem Adil Sheikh said Ali Jameel had travelled to Quetta with his wife and children for a family trip and could never have imagined that losing his way would ultimately cost him his life.
“He believed he was travelling safely within his own country and had no reason to think that a wrong turn could leave him vulnerable to a terrorist attack,” Haleem Adil Sheikh said.
He added that while digital navigation services such as Google Maps could occasionally direct travellers onto the wrong route, it remained the state’s responsibility to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
“Ali Jameel believed that even if he mistakenly took the wrong road, he would still be safe in his own country. Tragically, that was not the case,” he said, adding that the innocent Karachi resident had been killed by terrorists while travelling with his family.
Condemning the attack, Haleem Adil Sheikh said those responsibleness deserved the strongest condemnation for targeting an unarmed and innocent civilian in front of his family. He urged law enforcement agencies to restore peace and security across the country to prevent such incidents from recurring.
Calling Ali Jameel’s killing “a national tragedy”, the PTI Sindh president said the entire nation is mourning the loss and that his party strongly condemned the terrorist attack.
He prayed for the departed soul, asking Allah Almighty to grant Ali Jameel eternal peace and to give his family strength and patience during this difficult time.
Haleem Adil Sheikh also demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the attack and called for the perpetrators to be awarded the strictest punishment under the law to deter similar acts of terrorism in the future.
