Karachi (HRNW) – Police in the Keamari District, Saeedabad Police Station, arrested a man involved in aerial firing during a routine patrol operation, according to a police spokesperson.
Officials stated that the suspect, identified as Jamal Ahmed, son of Muhammad Iqbal, was apprehended near Surti Qabristan on Hub River Road while allegedly engaging in aerial firing.
Police said the suspect was arrested red-handed and a pistol used in the firing was recovered from his possession. The weapon was found to be unlicensed and illegal, according to preliminary investigation.
Authorities added that cases have been registered against the suspect under relevant sections, including Section 337-H(II) and the Sindh Arms Act 2013, Section 23(I)(A), while further investigation is underway.
Police officials reiterated that strict action will continue against individuals involved in aerial firing, emphasizing that such activities pose a serious threat to public safety and law and order.
