Islamabad (HRNW)- The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Wing has intensified its nationwide crackdown on human traffickers, arresting declared suspects in several cities.
During operations in Dera Ismail Khan, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Karachi and Islamabad, FIA teams arrested a number of wanted suspects accused of collecting large sums of money from people on the promise of sending them abroad and subsequently fleeing.
Three suspects — Muhammad Tanveer, Shahid Hussain and Abdul Shakoor — were arrested in Dera Ismail Khan, while 13 declared suspects and alleged traffickers were apprehended in Faisalabad. Two wanted suspects, Atta Muhammad and Rashid Baloch, were arrested in Bahawalpur.
In Karachi, FIA officials arrested Muhammad Shahzad, Habib-ur-Rehman and Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, while Ehsanullah Khan, Abdul Wasit and Muhammad Usman were arrested during an operation in Islamabad.
The FIA said investigations against all arrested suspects are underway, with further questioning being conducted to uncover additional links in the human trafficking networks. The agency added that operations against human traffickers will continue across the country.
