Failed Suicide Attack Near Army Post in South Waziristan Injures Seven Civilians

Wana (HRNW)- A failed suicide attack near a Pakistan Army check post in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan left seven civilians injured, according to reports. Officials said attackers attempted to target the military post using a vehicle loaded with explosives. However, due to the timely response of security personnel on high alert, the explosive-laden vehicle was intercepted and destroyed before it could reach its intended target, preventing what could have been a far more devastating incident. Reports indicate that the attacker was killed in the explosion at a distance from the post, significantly reducing the risk of major casualties. Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to ensure the area’s safety and investigate any wider network involved. According to MS Dr. Jan Muhammad of DHQ Hospital Wana, the seven civilians injured in the blast were shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
