New York (HRNW)- China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, has stated that the current Taliban regime in Afghanistan is allowing terrorist organizations to operate from its territory, creating serious security concerns for neighboring countries. Speaking at the United Nations, the Chinese envoy said that several militant groups, including Al-Qaeda, ISIS-Khorasan, BLA, and TTP, are active in Afghanistan.
Fu Cong strongly condemned all forms of terrorism and warned that Afghan soil has become a safe haven for multiple terrorist organizations, posing a significant threat to regional stability. He urged the Taliban authorities to acknowledge the seriousness of the issue and take decisive steps to eliminate all terrorist elements operating from Afghanistan.
International analysts have also expressed concerns, stating that the growing nexus between India and Afghanistan could become a serious challenge to peace and stability in the region.
