ISLAMABAD (HRNW) : Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Dr. Usman Anwar, presided over a high-level meeting at the FIA Headquarters to streamline international cooperation against cross-border crimes. The session was attended by senior leadership and officers stationed at the FIA’s International Link Offices across the globe, who provided a detailed briefing on global operational efficiency and law enforcement collaboration. During the meeting, DG Dr. Usman Anwar assigned critical tasks to the link officers, specifically directing the compilation of a comprehensive list of most-wanted fugitives involved in human trafficking and organized crime. He ordered immediate joint actions to apprehend the “Top Ten” most-wanted criminals and mandated the creation of a complete record of facilitators and gangs involved in the illegal smuggling of citizens abroad. Emphasizing the need for modernization, the DG instructed link offices to ensure robust coordination with international agencies and zonal offices while upgrading information-sharing systems to meet contemporary technological standards. Dr. Usman Anwar concluded by affirming that all available resources must be utilized to track down and arrest individuals involved in organized crime, ensuring that those exploiting citizens find no refuge globally.
