Putin Urges Trump to End Iran War in Phone Call, Discusses Regional Crises

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have agreed to a 30-day initial ceasefire as peace talks continue.

Moscow (HRNW)- Russian President Vladimir Putin has advised US President Donald Trump to end the ongoing war with Iran as soon as possible, according to media reports. In a telephone conversation, the two leaders discussed the Iran conflict and the broader situation in the region. Putin presented proposals aimed at a political and diplomatic end to the conflict and stressed the need for de‑escalation, according to Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov.

The call also covered other major global issues, including the conflict in Ukraine, the situation in Venezuela, and disruptions in the global oil market caused by tensions in the Middle East. Putin has previously warned that the war involving the United States and Israel has triggered a global energy crisis.

Earlier, President Putin sent a congratulatory message to Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, expressing hope that he will lead the country with dignity and unity during these difficult times.
