Islamabad / Karachi (HRNW): In a major development for the business community, traders, and Pakistani students residing in China, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has expanded its air connectivity between China and Pakistan. Through strategic partnerships with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines, PIA has provided passengers in 25 Chinese cities with seamless, uninterrupted access to its direct Beijing-to-Islamabad flights.
According to media reports, under the code-sharing and interline alignment with Air China, passengers can now book connecting flights from 16 major industrial and commercial hubs in China to link with PIA’s Beijing-Islamabad route. These key cities include Chongqing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Xi’an, and Urumqi. This unified network eliminates the hassle of separate bookings across different airlines, allowing passengers to travel on a single integrated itinerary.
To facilitate travel, PIA has also introduced special discounted fares across these 25 partner cities, significantly reducing the overall financial burden on travelers. Officials stated that this strategic alliance with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines reflects PIA’s core commitment to strengthening China-Pakistan bilateral ties, accelerating cross-border trade within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and fostering tourism, education, and cultural exchanges between the two brotherly nations.
