Iran Warns Israel Over Lebanon Attacks, Threatens Withdrawal from Ceasefire

New York (HRNW)- Iran has made an important announcement, taking a strong stance on the ceasefire against Israel’s ongoing attacks on Lebanon.

Iran’s UN envoy Amir Saeed Iravani has responded by saying that if Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue, Iran will withdraw from the ceasefire agreement. He said that if Israel does not stop bombing Lebanon, it will face serious consequences in the coming days.

The Iranian envoy made it clear that Iran wants peace in the region, but attacks on Lebanon’s sovereignty and civilian population will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

It should be remembered that a temporary ceasefire has recently been agreed between the United States and Iran for two weeks, which Iran is calling its “victory”, while the United States and Israel have also welcomed the agreement. The agreement includes provisions related to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and stopping attacks on Iran.

It should be noted that Israel carried out severe airstrikes in various areas of Lebanon, including Beirut, today, resulting in dozens of deaths and many injuries. Tensions in the region have further increased after these attacks.
