Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW): Authorities in Karachi have registered three separate cases under government complaints following a major protest and violent incidents outside the U.S. Consulate Karachi.
According to official reports, the cases include charges of murder, attempted murder, terrorism, and rioting. The complaints were filed at Docks Police Station under the supervision of Inspector Nand Lal.
Eyewitnesses and police sources stated that some protesters breached the consulate premises, causing property damage and attempting to start fires. In addition, a few individuals in the crowd reportedly opened fire, escalating the chaos.
The rioters also set fire to a traffic police checkpoint and during the unrest, suspects even attempted to burn an armored vehicle. Police are currently investigating the incidents and taking necessary action to ensure law and order.
Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area and follow official advisories as the investigation continues.
