KU organizes rally to express solidarity with Pak armed forces

Karachi (HRNW)- The University of Karachi organized a rally to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and its recently launched Operation ‘Ghazab Lil Haq’. The KU’s Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi led the massive rally from the new Administration Building to Azadi Chowk and then back to the new Administration Block on Tuesday.

The KU Registrar Professor Dr Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, deans of all faculties, chairpersons of various departments, students, administrative employees, and students attended the rally in large numbers.

The Sindh Higher Education Commission had instructed to arrange rallies in the higher education sectors to express solidarity with the armed forces, which are once again fighting against extremist elements on the borders and near the borderline of our beloved motherland.

Participants raised resounding slogans of “Long Live Pakistan Army” and “Long Live Pakistan”, expressing their unwavering commitment to national security. They paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the Pakistani armed forces and lauded their efforts to clear the Pakistani areas to safeguard the lives and properties of the masses.

The participants resolve that they are united for the sovereignty, stability, and progress of the country. Addressing the rally, the KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi expressed that the Pakistani Armed Forces and the nation are fully prepared to confront any kind of threat. He noted that the effective and crushing responses given by the Pakistan Armed Forces to hostile elements in the past are clear proof that the country’s defense rests in invincible hands.

He emphasized that any adversarial country must take into account Pakistan’s brave armed forces, its strong defense system, its people willing to sacrifice their lives for the homeland, and its nuclear capability before contemplating any action against Pakistan.

“Pakistan is a peace-loving country and desires peace and stability in the region. However, any compromise on national defense will never be acceptable.”

The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi added that for the protection of national security and sovereignty, the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and possesses full capability to face every challenge.

He also strongly condemned the attacks carried out on Iran through the alliance of the United States and Israel, stating that these actions are not only a grave violation of human rights but also a malicious attempt to undermine the sovereignty of an independent nation. He emphasized that such measures are contrary to international laws and global principles.

The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi said that despite severe sanctions and difficult circumstances, Iran continues to stand as a shining example of unity and solidarity. The high morale and resilience of the Iranian nation serve as an admirable model for other countries.

Later, a large number of teachers, students, and administrative staff gathered at the Arts Lobby and expressed their unity and solidarity with the armed forces with chanting resounding slogans.
