Trump Says Strait of Hormuz Will Fully Reopen After Iran Deal, Reaffirms Opposition to Nuclear Weapons

Paris (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has said that the Strait of Hormuz will be fully reopened following a successful agreement with Iran, claiming that the proposed deal is already having positive effects on global markets and energy prices.

Speaking during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Paris, Trump said that stock markets had reached high levels and oil prices had declined amid optimism surrounding the proposed agreement with Iran.

According to the US President, the benefits of the deal are already becoming visible and the global economy would have faced greater pressure had an agreement not been pursued.

Trump stated that the memorandum of understanding with Iran is not yet final and emphasized that no American investment in Iran is currently planned under the proposed arrangement.

He also reiterated that Iran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons and said he would provide further details regarding the negotiations during a scheduled press conference.

Addressing the future of the negotiations, Trump remarked that if he is dissatisfied with the terms of a final agreement, he could reconsider the current diplomatic approach.

During the meeting, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi congratulated Trump on the reported progress toward a peace agreement and expressed hope that a comprehensive final deal would soon be concluded.

The proposed agreement between the United States and Iran has attracted significant international attention, with observers closely monitoring its potential impact on regional stability, global energy markets, and international diplomacy.
