Ghaziabad (HRNW)- Renowned psychologist Dr. Hemika Agarwal died after falling from the roof of her residence in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
According to The Times of India, Dr. Hemika sustained critical injuries after falling from the upper floor of her residential building and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
During the initial investigation, police said Dr. Hemika had reportedly been experiencing severe emotional distress and depression following her divorce about one and a half years ago.
Police said Dr. Hemika was living alone in her flat in Ghaziabad. Investigators have collected evidence from the scene, but no suicide note has been recovered or officially confirmed so far.
Dr. Hemika’s father, Dr. R. Chandra, who is also a psychologist, confirmed that his daughter divorced around 18 months ago and that her mental health had been affected since then.
Authorities said the death of the 40-year-old psychologist is being investigated from multiple angles, and the final cause of death will be determined after the investigation is completed.
