Attempt to Travel to Europe on Fake Polish Work Visa Foiled; Case Registered Against Passenger

KARACHI (HRNW): FIA Immigration at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, successfully foiled an attempt to travel to Poland on a fake Polish work visa, detaining a passenger identified as Dawood Khan, son of Asghar Khan, a resident of Swabi district, according to an FIA spokesperson.

During immigration clearance, the passenger’s travel documents were flagged as suspicious. Upon detailed inspection, the Polish work visa was found to be fake and counterfeit, failing to meet original security features, particularly under ultraviolet (UV) verification, the FIA spokesperson stated.

During initial interrogation, the passenger revealed that after his Polish visa applications were rejected twice, he contacted a Turkey-based agent named Abu Yurab via Facebook. The agent charged PKR 240,000 via the Binance crypto platform to provide the fake visa sticker and other counterfeit materials, the FIA spokesperson added.

The accused further disclosed that he received a courier parcel in which a fake Polish visa sticker, a Polish embassy stamp, and an ink pad were secretly hidden inside tea cups. Following the agent’s instructions, he affixed the visa to his passport himself and stamped it. Subsequently, he obtained protector clearance and booked a ticket to Poland, the FIA spokesperson detailed.

Following the incident, the passenger was handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Karachi, where FIR No. 183/2026 has been registered against the accused and other involved individuals. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway, the FIA spokesperson concluded.

The FIA remains committed to taking indiscriminate action against elements involved in human trafficking, visa fraud, and illegal immigration through counterfeit travel documents.
