Riyadh (HRNW)- Amid rising tensions in the Gulf region, a crucial telephone call took place between the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran, marking the first official contact between the two countries since the recent crisis.
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud spoke with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi to review the latest developments in the region and discuss ways to reduce tensions. Both sides emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to restore peace and stability in the Gulf.
Analysts say this contact could signal a positive step toward future negotiations, although the situation in the region remains fragile following Iran’s attacks on Gulf countries.
