Trump Says Israel ‘Would Not Exist Without America,’ Stresses Iran Must Never Obtain Nuclear Weapons

Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has said that Israel would not have survived without American support, emphasizing that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains a top priority of his administration.

According to reports, President Trump made the remarks during a conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He stated that if Iran attempted to obtain nuclear weapons, it would face severe consequences, adding that the agreement reached with Iran should succeed.

Trump described the agreement as a barrier against nuclear proliferation and said he hoped it would effectively prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He also remarked that Russia should pursue a similar agreement.

The US president said he believed a fair deal had been reached with Iran and clarified that the United States was not making investments in the country. He also praised Qatar’s role in regional diplomacy, expressing satisfaction with how Doha had handled various matters.

“The most important thing for me is that Iran will never have nuclear weapons,” Trump said.

Discussing regional conflicts, Trump revealed that he had informed Israel that he did not approve of the attack on Beirut. He noted that he maintains good relations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and suggested that responsibility for dealing with Hezbollah should be transferred to Syria.

Trump further stated that Iran now has what he described as “reasonable leadership” and characterized the conflict in Lebanon as a relatively minor dispute compared to broader regional challenges.
