Karachi (HRNW): A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Dubai to Islamabad faced an unusual delay after passengers allegedly created a disturbance inside the aircraft, resulting in damage to the aircraft’s window glass.
According to reports, the incident occurred on PIA flight PK-212. The flight was scheduled to arrive in Islamabad at 8:40 PM, but its departure was delayed due to the disturbance and operational issues.
Sources said that some passengers protested inside the aircraft and created a commotion, following which the flight captain called local police for assistance. Police took action and arrested seven passengers involved in the incident.
According to officials, the delay and disturbance caused the flight crew to complete their legally permitted duty hours. Under aviation regulations, the crew members were transferred to a hotel for rest.
The flight has reportedly not yet departed from Dubai for Islamabad due to the disturbance and damage caused to the aircraft window.
