US-Iran Historic Agreement to Be Signed in Switzerland’s Bergenstock Amid Tight Security

Bergenstock (HRNW)- The historic agreement between the United States and Iran is set to be signed on Friday in a high-profile ceremony at the Bergenstock mountain resort in Switzerland, according to the Swiss Foreign Ministry.

The ministry confirmed in an interview with the French news agency AFP that the venue is located near the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. It said the location was selected due to its highly secure and restricted-access environment, making it suitable for sensitive diplomatic negotiations and the signing ceremony.

Officials added that the decision was not made solely by Switzerland, but also with the consent of mediators from Pakistan and Qatar, along with approval from both the United States and Iran. All parties reportedly agreed that Bergenstock was an appropriate and secure venue for the landmark agreement.

The resort has previously hosted several high-level diplomatic meetings due to its privacy, controlled access, and strong security arrangements, which make it a preferred location for sensitive international talks.

If finalized, the agreement is being seen as a major step toward reducing regional tensions and improving relations between Washington and Tehran. However, full details of the deal have not yet been publicly disclosed.

Swiss authorities have stated that strict security measures will be implemented during the ceremony, and parts of the area will be temporarily closed. So far, neither the United States, Iran, nor Pakistan have issued official confirmations or denials regarding the event.
