Quetta (HRNW) – Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti contacted the father of a female doctor who was injured in an acid attack in Quetta and inquired about her condition, assuring the family of complete medical and administrative support.
According to Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, the affected doctor will receive full medical treatment at Patel Hospital Karachi, with all expenses to be borne by the Balochistan government.
He stated that, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, all arrangements have been finalized to transfer the victim to Karachi through an air ambulance. Specialist doctors and medical staff will oversee her treatment and provide the necessary care.
The Health Minister added that the provincial government is committed to ensuring the best possible treatment facilities for the injured doctor. He further stated that law enforcement authorities have been directed to immediately arrest those responsible for the attack.
Bakht Muhammad Kakar emphasized that the safety and security of female doctors, healthcare workers and citizens remain a top priority of the government. He pledged that those involved in the incident would be brought to justice and held accountable under the law.
The incident has sparked concern among the medical community, with calls for stronger measures to ensure the protection of healthcare professionals across the province.
