PM Shehbaz Sharif Summons National Economic Council Meeting to Review Development Priorities

Islamabad (HRNW) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) on June 8 to discuss key economic and development priorities for the country.

According to sources, the meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister and is expected to approve the National Development Program. Participants will also hold detailed discussions on major targets and allocations under the Annual Development Program (ADP).

Sources said that Chief Ministers of all provinces, provincial finance ministers and other senior officials will attend the meeting. The council will review the country’s economic growth, development expenditures and the overall economic situation.

During the session, members are expected to assess progress on ongoing development projects and discuss strategies aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth and improving public infrastructure.

Sources further revealed that the National Economic Survey will be presented on June 9. The survey will outline the country’s economic performance during the previous fiscal year, key development indicators and future economic objectives.

The meeting is considered an important step in finalizing development priorities and economic planning ahead of the upcoming federal budget and fiscal policy decisions.
