Karachi (HRNW): A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to investigate the kidnapping and murder case of Mir Raza Ali Khan on the orders of Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Azad Khan.
According to an official police notification, SSP Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Samiullah Somro has been appointed as the head of the investigation team. The other members include SSP East Zubair Nazir Sheikh and SP Investigation East-I Muhammad Usman Sadozai.
The Additional IG Karachi has directed the team to conduct a comprehensive investigation into all aspects of the case, identify and arrest those responsible, and ensure that the inquiry is carried out effectively and impartially.
The notification further states that the investigation team is authorized to seek assistance from any officer or unit within the Karachi Range to facilitate the investigation.
In addition, the Additional IG has ordered the team to submit daily progress reports on the investigation to ensure close monitoring and timely advancement of the case.
