Islamabad (HRNW)– Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to promoting sports diplomacy in the region during a meeting with Sri Lankan Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Sogath Thalakarathne.
The meeting, attended by the Sri Lankan High Commissioner Rear Admiral Fred Senweerathne and other officials, focused on enhancing cooperation in cricket, youth engagement, and bilateral sports initiatives. Both sides highlighted sports as a powerful tool for fostering people-to-people contacts and strengthening relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Minister Tarar thanked the Sri Lankan leadership for their support and appreciated the successful arrangements of the tri-nation series in Pakistan, noting that such events provide new avenues for youth and bilateral cooperation.
