BANNU (HRNW) – Acting on an intelligence-based tip-off, security forces conducted an operation in the Bakakhel area of Bannu, eliminating Shahid alias “Commando”, a key commander of the Fitna-al-Khawarij.
According to security sources, several other militants were also injured during the operation. Sources stated that the deceased Shahid alias Commando was highly active across various social media platforms and allegedly played a central role in propaganda activities linked to certain banned networks.
It was further revealed that he was actively involved in the militant organization’s social media and so-called intelligence network, overseeing and operating multiple accounts and pages.
According to defense experts, the elimination of Shahid alias Commando deals a significant blow to the militant network’s social media and intelligence infrastructure, which is expected to severely impact their coordination and propaganda capabilities.
