Karachi (HRNW) – The Sindh Government has started work on a program to increase property revenue under the Competitive and Livable City of Karachi (CLICK) Project, with the Local Government Department seeking property revenue-related information from all Town Municipal Corporations (TMCs) in Karachi.
The Local Government Department has directed TMCs to complete a questionnaire regarding the Urban Immovable Property Tax (UIPT) system.
According to the official communication, the questionnaire seeks details related to property revenue, tax collection, relevant records, and other information. The purpose of collecting the data is to review the existing urban immovable property tax system and identify areas for improvement.
Officials stated that under the CLICK Project, efforts are ongoing to improve the land administration and property revenue system by making it more effective, transparent, and modern.
All Town Municipal Corporations have been instructed to submit the required information through the prescribed questionnaire. The data collected through the survey will be used for future reform measures and policy improvements.
