MQM MPA Appeals to Rangers to Curb Gambling in Orangi Town

Karachi (HRNW) MQM Sindh Assembly Member Syed Ijaz-ul-Haq sent a letter to the DG Rangers in which he sought help from the Rangers, saying that gambling has become common in his constituency PS 121 Orangi Town.

Criminals have set up gambling dens in the area and are systematically exposing the people of the area to the curse of gambling.

Civilized citizens of the area who have been raising their voices against gambling are being intimidated and threatened. Despite repeated complaints, the area police is not ready to do anything against the criminal elements.

Due to the criminal silence of the police, the people of Orangi are forced to live under the shadow of fear.

In the letter, the MPA has demanded effective measures from the DG Rangers to eliminate organized crime like gambling and has appealed that additional Rangers be deployed in Orangi Town with the aim of taking immediate and effective measures against gambling.
