Karachi (HRNW) – The Sindh College Education Department has decided to launch a six-day special tree plantation campaign in all government colleges of the Karachi region from 17 to 22 August 2026.
According to the department’s directives, all principals of government colleges have been instructed to complete necessary arrangements for the campaign. Under the initiative, each employee and each class will plant one Neem tree sapling.
The Social Forestry Wing of the Sindh Forest Department will provide free Neem saplings to all government colleges to support the plantation drive and encourage wider participation.
Officials stated that the objective of the campaign is to promote environmental protection, encourage eco-friendly lifestyles among students and staff, and contribute towards the implementation of the Green Pakistan vision.
Environmental experts emphasize that plantation activities in educational institutions not only improve the environment but also create awareness among young generations about climate change, the importance of trees, and the conservation of natural resources.
