Karachi (HRNW) – A complaint has emerged regarding alleged violations of the approved building plan and unauthorized construction activities at Plot No. B-150, Block 13D/2, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
According to the complaint, the plot was approved as a G+2 (Ground plus two floors) residential plot and bungalow, but it is alleged that additional unauthorized structures have been constructed, including shops on the ground floor, a mezzanine floor, and two additional floors beyond the approved plan.
Residents and complainants have alleged that the mandatory open space requirements were not maintained and that almost the entire plot area has been covered with construction, in violation of building regulations.
The complainants have also raised concerns regarding the alleged lack of action by the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) against the reported violations. They have further alleged that SBCA Assistant Director Shafi Magsi is allegedly providing protection to the disputed construction; however, these allegations have not been independently verified.
Citizens stated that the primary responsibility of SBCA is to regulate construction activities, ensure compliance with approved building plans, and take action against illegal developments. They have demanded a transparent inquiry into the matter and strict action if violations are established.
Residents have requested the relevant authorities to inspect the site, verify the approved building plan, and take legal action according to applicable laws and regulations.
